Hello, my name is Dominic Woodyard and I run a small stud based in Norfolk near Norwich. I am specialising in the glamourous Self Golden and Golden English Crested, Tortoise and Whites and Self Buffs, I also have some Black Foxes. I am only sixteen so that may be a surprise to some people with all that I do involving my cavies. I first started out in 2005 when I walked my dog, Duke, down past my village hall. I looked in the window and there were rows of cavies and rabbits. So I dragged my dad down the road so I could have a look around the show. Whilst in there I got to see a vast array of different colours and breeds of cavies, I was Facinated. Also while walking around I came to the sales pens. In one of the pens were a pair of the most beautiful guinea pigs i had ever seen. These were a pair of Pink Eyed Golden Self sows, I had fallen in love! Well I went back outside and asked my dad... could I buy two guinea pigs (already having a pet cavy at home!). Well you know how it goes, I was standing there begging for five minutes and then he gave in...Woohoo!. So I got the two gorgeous Pink Eyed Golden sows, who went on to be called Roxy and Rizzo, but now sadly I have lost both. Pink eyed Goldens cavies will always remain my first love in the cavy World, love at first sight!
Now I am a member and committee member of the City of Norwich Rabbit and Cavy Club. I am also a member of the following clubs: The Crested Cavy Club, The English Self Cavy Club, The Broadlands Small Livestock Society, Central Suffolk Rabbit and Cavy Fanciers and The North Herts Cavy Association. I attend Many shows and love this hobby.
